Group Description:

Swimmers in this group will be taught swimming skills foundational to competitive swimming. Following the model of long-term athlete development (LTAD), this group will focus on technical development of all four strokes to prepare swimmers for entry into our Mini Makos program. Swimmers will receive direct instruction from a coach at a group ratio of no more than 8 swimmers to one coach.

Target Age: 5-8 years old as of Mar 1st, 2024

Pre-Requisites: deep-water entry, swim unassisted with no lifejacket for 15m*

Required Equipment: goggles, swimsuit

Cost for Group: $250 / 10 classes**

*No prior assessment is required for this group. However, we reserve the right to deregister swimmers in the program if they are not meeting our entry requirements. In this case, you will be referred to alternative programming and the fee will be refunded.

**For the VPSC Swim School, the fee of $250 will be charged upon registration. This fee is non-refundable with the exception of swimmer exclusion due to not meeting the group criteria on the first day.
